Whenever a change is introduced (e.g. implementing SAP) there is a resistance.
As a result there is a risk that someone somewhere will take missteps.
Risk must be managed.
Several steps could be taken in this regard:
Managing stakeholders expectations
Involve stakeholders in the project
Developing a communication plan
Testing all cases and exception to the rule
Reviewing the project documents including project management process, resources, time-lines, and the critical path
Developing a problem-escalation plan
Developing contingency plans (if ideal implementation is not possible there Plan B should be ready for less-than-ideal but achievable implementation)
