Each SAP user is given a unique user Id.
System Administrator creates the user id along with the initial password.
When you sign in first time, you are forced to modify the password.
Even system administrator cannot view the password. Only you can reset the password to something else.
If you have SAP user Id, you can log in from any workstation. Your user ID is not married to your own desktop.
So if you are not in your office, for example if you are visiting a warehouse, you can log in from the warehouse workstation using your user ID and do the same work that you could do from your office.
